Chesterfield Labour Club 28th October

I was privileged to return to the Labour Club a year to the day since I supported Tony Walsh there.  Wonder what happened to him?  This time I was on bail with the wonderful Andrew Graves from Nottingham and the amazing Ichabod, a singer songwriter who defies description.  A totally unique voice who deserves a much wider audience.  I did my musical set and, for reasons that still aren’t clear even to me, incorporated a competition into my set which gave the audience a chance to win a toaster.  The lad who won seemed quite pleased.  Does Kate Tempest do that>?  I think not.  Anyway, thanks to Matt Macateer for his invite and customary warm welcome.  I realise this now sounds like the clubland column on the Wakefield Express, but there you are.
